H1N1 flu cases continue to decline throughout Colorado. The good news is there is an ample vaccine supply for all Coloradans who want to be protected from this flu. The Larimer County Health Department and the Colorado Department of Public Health stress that vaccination against H1N1 is still very important.
There is ample H1N1 vaccine throughout Larimer County. Check with your doctor or local pharmacist to see if you can receive your H1N1 vaccination there. Or, you can get H1N1 vaccination at any of the health department offices. Go to www.larimer.org/health and click on the link for immunization clinic hours and locations on the right side of the page.
Flu vaccinations are our best defense againstH1N1 influenza. It's not too late to get vaccinated. To find out where to receive an H1N1 vaccination in Larimer County, click on "Local H1N1 Clinics" on the left.
- There will be NO MORE large H1N1 vaccination clinics sponsored by the Health Department. The final clinic was held on January 10, 2010.
- Availability of H1N1 vaccine through the Health Department will fluctuate. Please call 498-6700 before coming in for an H1N1 vaccine to see if there is a supply available at that time.
- There are numerous other places in Larimer County where you can get vaccinated for H1N1. Check the "Local H1N1 Clinics" in the sidebar on the left side of this page.
- H1N1 vaccination through the Health Department is FREE.
- Anyone over six months old who wants an H1N1 vaccination can receive one.
Who should be vaccinated?
- Anyone over six months old who wants an H1N1 vaccination and hasn’t yet been vaccinated
- Children under 10 who need a second “booster” dose of H1N1 vaccine
- People of any age with chronic illnesses or conditions who have not yet received the vaccine
- Pregnant women who have not yet received the vaccine
- Caretakers of children under six months old who have not yet received the vaccine
- Healthcare workers who have not yet received the vaccine
